The Lanier RC Fokker D.VII EP ARF is a semi-scale
reproduction of the original WWI fighter. It uses upper ailerons for
great response and full function control. We've included scale like
wheels, pilot figure, and machine gun. The Lanier RC Fokker D.VII
EP ARF has all built up one-piece wings and fuselage to ensure accurate
and lightweight construction. Top this off with a complete hardware
package, and a sharp color scheme from premium iron on covering.
In 1917, a competition was held at Adlershof Germany to select a fighter
to curb the growing Allied air superiority. After several modification
to an earlier version, Manfred von Richthofen and other test pilots
named the Fokker D.VII the winner. The Fokker D.VII entered service
late in WWI, but quickly proved to be superior to the allied fighters.
Its ability to dive without fear of wing failure and to hang 45 degrees
on its prop, attacking from below its target, made the Fokker D.VII
especially deadly in combat. At the end of the war, the Fokker D.VII
was the only airplane specifically named and demanded by the Allied
Forces.
